DIRECTOR: Rodney Zimmerman
For more than fifteen years, Rodney Zimmerman, founder of Conditioned Minds Inc. has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to enhancing young lives throughout the country. Upon graduating from Air Academy High School, Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs as a High School All-American in Basketball, he went on to attend the celebrated and storied University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) on a full athletic basketball scholarship. It was there that he would play collegiate basketball for one of the top programs in the country. Upon successfully graduating from UCLA with a degree in Political Science, Mr. Zimmerman’s fortitude and diligence would lead him on a path to play professional basketball for the NBA’s Detroit Pistons and throughout Europe for over six years.
Shortly after retiring from the game of basketball, Mr. Zimmerman shifted his focus and energy back on being a staunch advocate for our Nation’s youth. Mr. Zimmerman would go on to take his collective experiences, skill sets, and vision, to develop curriculum's and programs for Conditioned Minds, Inc.—an innovative and cutting-edge Atlanta based, youth development organization focused on leadership development, focus skills, and behavior modeling.
TRAINER: Brittni Johnson
Brittni Johnson's career started in 2002 at Burney Harris Lyons Middle school. In 2004 she began playing at Clarke Central High School under the leadership of Carla Johnson, finishing her senior year in 2008 as the player of the year for Region 8-AAAA, as well as Banner-Herald’s All-Northeast. She continued her career through college at Lander University in Greenwood, SC finishing in 2012 with the Southeast Regional championship along with the tournament’s MVP trophy. Through the years of playing with and against different players as well as coaching she has seen all kinds of Athletes. With that she has learned that talent will only get you so far. She strongly believes that the value of being an overall well round athlete has been lost and she would like to bring it back. There are 5 things Brittni believes all athletes should possess. GOD FIRST, a good-hard work ethic, mental toughness, self confidence and being COACHABLE. “In Christ I Play” has become her self-affirmation, a simple reminder that everything I do is for the glory of God. With that she created her brand “In Christ We Play”, in hopes that I can help produce that overall well rounded Athlete.
