Conditioned Minds Total Sports Camp FAQ's

What forms are required in order for your child to participate?

Registration is simple. All forms required will be provided through online registration. If you registered online, your child is ready to participate in camp. Once you arrive the first day of camp please make sure to escort your child into the building as we will confirm that a waiver on your behalf has been signed.

How early can your child arrive and what time must he/she be picked up?

Your child may arrive 30 minutes before camp start time and up to 30 minutes past the departure time. Before/aftercare is available for an additional fee. Call the camp office for details.

Where and when is check in?

Check in will take place the Monday morning of each camp week. Most camps begin at either 8:00am or 9:00 am, with our doors opening to campers 30 minutes before camp begins (unless there is before care offered). Daily drop off and pick up will take place at the same location as first day check-in.

What does your child need to bring to camp?
Campers should come dressed in sporting/basketball attire (shorts, sneakers, t-shirt). They need not bring basketballs or other equipment as we will have everything they need. Please leave all watches, jewelry and electronics (i.e.: ipods, mp3s, and video games) at home as we cannot be responsible for such items. Campers may of course bring any medication they may need. Please make the camp director aware of any medication. Campers also need to bring a sack lunch, beverage, and snack.

Do you provide lunch?

Each child will be provided lunch at the camp.  Lunches vary daily and include macaroni & cheese, chicken fingers, grilled cheese, cheese pizza, and many other delicious lunches.

Do you provide before and after care?
We do offer before and after care.  There is a $20 flat charge per day, per child, and covers both before care (one hour before normal drop off), and  after care (one hour after normal camp pick up).

Is the camp very competitive?

Our focus is on teaching and skill development. Our camps and clinics will challenge youth but are not about the end result of competition. We are very much into emphasis on process over outcome.

How are the campers divided during camp?
Campers are placed in groups according to their age, skill level, and experience. This is done to ensure that each child participates with others of a similar ability. Emphasis is placed on improving at one’s own pace while enjoying the excitement of the sport. We will try to accommodate group requests when possible, but cannot guarantee in an effort to keep teams fair and balanced.

Can my child be on the same team as his friends?

Campers can request to be on the same team as friends. If they wish to be on the same team as another camper, they should let their coach know on the first day of camp. While we try to accommodate campers, it is important to provide the best camp experience by evenly matching ages and skill levels to arrange for the best level of competition. For this reason, we encourage all campers to remain on the teams they’ve been drafted to.

May I cancel my registration?

All fees are refundable until 2 weeks from camp start date. There is a $35 non-refundable registration fee for all cancellations.

Are the facilities air conditioned?

Most all facilities are air conditioned, but some may not be fully air conditioned. If this is a concern, call the Conditioned Minds office.

Will there be medical staff at the camp?

There will be medical staff personnel on-site during camp (at Atlanta Jewish Academy camps only).

What if your child has to leave early?

Please inform the camp director or program director at the beginning of the day if your child needs to leave early. If there is an emergency and your child needs to leave early, you may contact the program manager or camp director on their cell phone.

Who are the instructors?
Our accomplished staff is comprised of a wide array of sport, leadership, and basketball backgrounds. Your child will receive instruction from a combination of the following: college and high school coaches, current and former college players, NBA clinicians, certified referees, personal trainers, semi and professional players and other sport experts.

Can parents stay and watch during camp?
Of course! Parents are more than welcome to watch their children in action! The only thing that we ask is that you limit the amount of interaction with your child during camp. It may make your child uncomfortable and not give full attention to the camp instruction.

Are scholarships available?
Scholarships are not available for the 2018 - 2019 summer camps.

Cancellation by Conditioned Minds Camps

In the unlikely event that US Sports Camps cancels your camp session, we will refund only your camp registration fees. Camper waives any and all damages that may otherwise arise out of any camp cancellation and agrees to accept as liquidated damages said registration fees.
